Satutory Framework for Early Years foundation stage

The Framework advises how your child should be kept safe and cared for, and how all concerned can make sure that your child achieves the most that they can in their earliest years of life, with all the correct support and in a safe and caring environment.

EYFS

(Early Years Foundation Stage)

All childcare settings including foundation units in schools, preschools private day nurseries and child-minders have to follow the EYFS framework and are regulated by Ofsted.

We keep a profile on your child which includes observations, activities, photos, reports, and any information such as special educational needs or allergies.

A big part of the EYFS is parental involvement which can help children with their learning, by sharing information such as what they have learned at home or if anything happy or sad is going on at home. I hope you will be able to come to parents evenings/afternoons, butyou are always very welcome to discuss your child's learning with the staff.

All settings are monitored by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Early Years Development Team

As we were graded a low grade need setting, this means we do not need as much support as some settings but we still have regular visits from our ERC advisors.

We were graded OUTSTANDING on our July 2013 Ofsted inspection in ALL 17 areas of inspection. We are the only private day nursery (apart from one other in Beverley, who didn't get all 17 areas) in the whole East Riding.
